Electronic EDI document exchange
with our partners
This page covers our OFTP2 service — but OFTP2 is only one of the protocols we master. As a VAN (Value Added Network) and an EDI benchmark, we also run AS2, FTP/SFTP and traditional VAN to connect your company to automakers.
This service exchanges EDI files (PEM/PED/EMB delivery schedules) via the ODETTE OFTP2 protocol — over TLS, with file encryption and signing and delivery receipts (EERP), point to point with each automaker.
MGR
Partner (each automaker)
- 01 · 1. Signing
- The file is digitally signed by the sender (CMS), guaranteeing authenticity and integrity.
- 02 · 2. Encryption
- It is encrypted with the recipient's certificate — only the recipient can open the content.
- 03 · 3. OFTP2 session (TLS)
- The virtual file is transmitted in an authenticated OFTP2 session, over TLS, with credit control.
- 04 · 4. Receipt (EERP)
- The recipient returns a delivery receipt (EERP), signed when agreed, confirming the file arrived intact.
How we organize exchanges
Organization (us)
Our side of the exchange: Odette ID, OFTP password and our own certificate, with a log of every session and file.
Partner (each automaker)
One record per partner and per direction: Odette ID, host and port, public certificate and the agreed encryption, signature and receipt rules.
How the OFTP2 exchange is rolled out
Certificate exchange
Each side registers its Odette ID, OFTP password and digital certificate — the basis of authenticity and confidentiality.
Partner configuration
We register the host, port, session parameters, encryption and signature, and the rules agreed with you.
Homologation test
We exchange test files and validate the EERP before any real document.
Production
Once certification is approved, EDI documents start flowing for real, point to point.
Monitoring
MGR tracks every session and file and notifies you if anything fails.
Want to implement the OFTP2 protocol with your automaker?
MGR helps your company structure its EDI document exchange — over OFTP2 or other protocols such as AS2, VAN and FTP/SFTP — from the certificate to certification with the partner.
